It’s time for another National Treasure on The Swally this week as we look at the 1979 film from Bill Forsyth, ‘That Sinking Feeling’. Following hapless Ronnie, played by Robert Buchanan and his friends including Billy Greenless, John Gordon Sinclair and John Hughes as out of work and out of luck pals. Fed up of their hopeless lives, they decide to pull of the heist of the century.
In the news we meet a genuine wrestler who tries out his special moves on would be attackers, hear about a Dunfermline fan who just couldn’t control himself any longer, hear about and x-rated takeaway and meet a grandmother who really should know better.

We’re off to Stonemouth on this episode of the Swally as we look at the 2015 adaptation of the Iain Banks novel…Stonemouth! Starring Christian Cooke, Charlotte Spencer, Chris Fulton and Peter Mullen, it tells the tale of Stewart Gilmour, who returns to his childhood home and tries to discover the truth behind his best friend's death.
In the news this week we meet Austin, a Malaysian student and Celtic’s newest fan, we hear about a road-sign that keeps getting pinched, we hear about a woman with a very strange phobia and we meet a gentleman who was very unhappy about his Halloween decorations.

It’s October, which means it’s time for the annual Swally Spooktacular! This week we head to Govan as we look at 1989’s Govan Ghost Story. Written by Bryan Elsley and directed by David Hayman it tells the tale of Jock, an out of work ex-shipbuilder. Jock discovers that old memories are awakened in a terrifying and dangerous manner when he encounters a strange little girl in the high rise flat where he lives.
In the news we meet a teacher who had an overflowing box of delights, hear about a pensioner who wants to fight to the death, discover a new wine being released in Scotland and realise that Meatloaf was correct, objects in the rear view mirror, may appear closer than they are. Oh and Ghost Dad!

Seen as a prequel to his 2008 novel of the same name, it stars Dougray Scott, Ken Stott, Jamie Sives and Joanna Vanderham and follows DI Ray Lennox investigating the disappearance of an Edinburgh schoolgirl.
In the news we hear about a real life Ratatouille in a popular chicken restaurant, meet a woman who is convinced Mogwai are trying to burn down her house and discover some of the sexual kinks that are most searched for in Scotland.

We look at a more serious item this week on The Swally as we cover the 2003 drama, written and directed by Richard Jobson, ’16 Years of Alcohol’. Starring Kevin McKidd, Laura Fraser, Susan Lynch, Ewen Bremner and Lewis Macleod, the film is based on Jobson’s semi-autobiographical novel of the same name. Telling the tale of Frankie, a Ska loving skinhead as it follows him through his childhood and into adulthood as he battles his demons and addictions.
In the news we hear about a woman who has overcome a crippling addiction to Scotland’s favourite soft drink, meet a man who defended his wife’s honour like in ‘a Hollywood movie’ and hear about a hero police dog...oh and some Space Aliens too.
