We’re putting on one hell of a gig in the latest episode of The Swally. We are heading back to 2020 this week as we look at the Dave Mclean film, Schemers. Davie starts promoting gigs in Dundee with two friends, leading to a hugely ambitious Iron Maiden show. Out of his depth and in debt with gangster Fergie, Davie needs to pull off the biggest scheme of his life.

It’s a Play for Today kind of episode as we look at the 1974 play, The Bevellers. Written by and starring Roddy McMillan, The Bevellers follows 16-year-old Norrie as he begins his first day in a Glasgow glass factory, learning from the ground up. But a series of increasingly violent confrontations lead him to question his future in the trade.
